The session aimed to strengthen coordination among all stakeholders involved in organizing local sports competitions. It was held at the press conference hall of Bahrain National Stadium and organized by the Sports Affairs Directorate and the Facilities Directorate of the GSA.

The session was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the General Sports Authority, along with officials from the General Sports Authority, the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and representatives of team sports federations. The meeting formed part of the Authority's efforts to enhance coordination, strengthen partnerships among relevant entities, and further develop the system for organizing sports competitions and events in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar emphasized that the "Tala'at" Program reflects the vision and directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to advance Bahrain's sports governance framework by strengthening institutional integration and promoting best practices in the organization of sports competitions and events.

He added that, as part of its strategy to develop the sports sector, the General Sports Authority is working to standardize organizational procedures, improve institutional efficiency, and build the capabilities of national professionals. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of organizing local competitions. He further noted that the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and the national sports federations represents a key pillar in ensuring a successful sports season while promoting a safe and well-organized sporting environment.

Dr. Askar also highlighted that the Authority is preparing to launch a package of pioneering initiatives to further enhance the organizational framework of sports competitions, particularly team sports. These initiatives are expected to introduce significant improvements in organizational processes by standardizing procedures, increasing operational efficiency, and adopting international best practices in line with the aspirations of the next stage of sports development.

He further explained that these initiatives will be supported through a series of specialized workshops and training programs for professionals responsible for organizing sports events within the national sports federations. The objective is to enhance the readiness of national talent, strengthen organizational competencies, and reinforce compliance with approved standards and procedures to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.

The session focused on reviewing the regulatory framework and operational procedures governing the organization of sports competitions and events, with the objective of enhancing coordination among relevant stakeholders, improving organizational readiness, and unifying operational practices across all partners.

Representatives of the Ministry of Interior presented the security arrangements associated with sports events, including organizational procedures, precautionary measures, emergency response and evacuation plans, as well as security and safety requirements. These measures are intended to strengthen the preparedness of all relevant authorities, ensure the safety of participants and spectators, and facilitate the smooth and efficient delivery of sports events in accordance with the highest standards.

The Sports Affairs Directorate also delivered a presentation on the procedures for obtaining the necessary approvals to organize sports events, the coordination mechanisms with relevant authorities prior to hosting events, and the organizational requirements that must be fulfilled when organizing sports competitions and championships.

The Facilities Directorate presented the procedures and mechanisms for booking sports facilities, including venue capacities, preparation requirements, prohibited items, and the obligations that organizers must observe when using sports facilities to ensure their optimal use and maintain their readiness.

Meanwhile, the Legal Affairs and Licensing Directorate reviewed the regulations governing spectator conduct, the responsibilities of event organizers before, during, and after sporting events, as well as the relevant violations and regulatory procedures, with the aim of promoting compliance with the laws and regulations governing sports competitions.

The session concluded with an affirmation of the Authority's commitment to continuing the development of organizational procedures for sports competitions and events, while further unifying operational practices among sports federations to establish a more efficient organizational framework for local competitions.
