The Takafoa Women’s League is a multi-sport competition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, launched under the directives of the General Sports Authority to empower female athletes and support the development of women’s sports.
The 2026 season features tournaments across three major team sports: football, basketball, and volleyball. Through this diverse sporting format, the league provides female athletes with a competitive platform to showcase their abilities, develop their skills, and gain valuable match experience.
The league also plays an important role in identifying promising talents who can be further developed and prepared to represent Bahrain’s national teams in future regional and international competitions.
By encouraging participation, teamwork, discipline, and sporting excellence, the Takafoa Women’s League contributes to strengthening the presence of women in sport and creating more opportunities for female athletes across the Kingdom.
