Resolution No. (5) of 2021 Regarding Determining the Form of Companies That Sports Clubs May Adopt and the Rules Governing Their Work and Oversight Mechanism

Based on Resolution No. (5) of 2021 issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, this regulation aims to organize the transformation of sports clubs into commercial entities, allowing them to operate as "Limited Liability Companies" or "Closed Joint Stock Companies". The resolution mandates obtaining a prior license from the Ministry to operate in the sports field and restricts the ownership of shares and stakes exclusively to Bahraini nationals (whether individuals or entities fully owned by Bahrainis), ensuring these institutions are subject to strict administrative, technical, and financial oversight that serves the public interest.
