Conveying the Greetings of Khalid bin Hamad
Askar Meets with Al Ettifaq Club President and Congratulates the Club on Promotion to the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League
His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the General Sports Authority, met with Mr. Fadhel Al Marzooq, Chairman of Al Ettifaq Club, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, affirming His Highness’s keenness to support national clubs and assist them in achieving their sporting goals and aspirations.
His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer congratulated the management of Al Ettifaq Club on winning the First Division Football League title and securing promotion to the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League. He praised the significant efforts made by the club’s management, technical and administrative staff, and players throughout the season, which resulted in this well-deserved historic achievement.
His Excellency affirmed that Al Ettifaq Club’s achievement reflects the distinguished work and clear vision of the club’s management, as well as its efforts to develop both technical and administrative aspects, contributing to positive results and strengthening the club’s position on the sporting scene.
The meeting also discussed a number of topics related to the club’s needs during the coming phase, and reviewed its aspirations, development plans, and programmes for the upcoming season, in a way that supports its journey in the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League and contributes to continued achievements. The club also presented a commemorative shield to His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer.
For his part, the Chairman of Al Ettifaq Club expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his continuous support of national clubs and His Highness’s keenness to provide all their needs, affirming that this support serves as a motivation to continue working and achieve further successes in the coming phase.
